National Patriotic Party (NPP) Flagbearer Mahamudu Bawumia has pledged to be a president for all Ghanaians, irrespective of their religious, economic, or social backgrounds.
Speaking at the Methodist Church in Kpone, the Vice President expressed his commitment to leading with inclusivity and respect for all faiths.
He stated that, as a devout Muslim, he respects all religions and will serve as President for everyone, not just for Muslims.
Dr Bawumia also promised to assist in completing the building for the Kpone branch of the Methodist Church.
“We are a country of religious tolerance and peace. In my own family, half of us are Muslim and half are Christian. Even though I am a Muslim, I am also the patron of the Methodist Boys Brigade of Ghana. This shows the beauty of our country, where we live together in peace and tolerance. If I become president, I will serve all of Ghana and make a significant contribution to this church,” he said.
He concluded with a commitment to a presidency that represents and benefits everyone in Ghana, pledging to support shared values of peace and tolerance.
