Three Ghana Premier League clubs will be affected by the National Sports Authority's decision to close the Accra Sports Stadium for maintenance.
The directive, which also includes the Cape Coast Sports Stadium, is part of an effort to upgrade these facilities to meet international standards.
This decision follows last week's directive from the Confederation of African Football (CAF), which banned the Baba Yara Sports Stadium from hosting CAF/FIFA senior international matches due to poor pitch conditions.
As a result, Accra Hearts of Oak, Dreams FC, and Accra Lions, who have been using the Accra Sports Stadium for their home matches, will need to find alternative venues.
In the interim, Hearts of Oak and Accra Lions are likely to play at the WAFA Park or the University of Ghana Stadium, while Dreams FC may opt for either the Tuba AstroTurf in Kasoa or the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu.
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko has settled on the Len Clay Sports Stadium for their home games following the closure of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
It remains unclear how long the maintenance work is expected to last.
