Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has urged the government to expedite the completion of the Accra Sempe Primary School, a project that has been abandoned for nearly eight years.
The school project started by the previous administration has been neglected despite a commitment from Greater Accra Regional Minister, Titus Glover, to take charge of the project.
During the commissioning of the Jamestown Fishing Harbour on Friday, September 13, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II expressed concern over the lack of progress on the school project and emphasised the importance of education. He called for immediate action to complete the facility, which he said would benefit children in the area.
The King also appealed for the completion of other stalled projects in the Jamestown enclave, highlighting the need for swift action to ensure these initiatives serve the community.
He noted that such delays hinder development and called on authorities to prioritize these projects.
“I humbly call on the government to expedite the completion of the Sempe School project and other initiatives in this region to lift our people and restore the pride of our coastal towns. Let us ignore the little things that divide us and embrace what unites us. Let us reject the urge to self-sabotage and drive action towards practical development."
“As we prepare for the December elections, let us choose peace over division. Let us uphold our democracy. For it is the foundation of our progress. This is our time to build the unity of the Ga state at all costs to yield prosperity and a peaceful future for us and our children.”
