Ghanaian forward Ibrahim Sadiq was the star on the night of AZ Alkmaar's big win over Heerenven in the Dutch league.
Sadiq scored one and set up two others in the 9-1 home win as AZ continued their strong start to the new season.
The left winger was handed his fifth start of the season in the home game on Saturday and was involved in everything positive his side did on the night.
Sadiq played through Troy Parrott for AZ's second goal of the game in the 23rd minute after Sven Mijnans had opened the scoring after four minutes.
The goal restored his side's lead with Heerenven levelling in the 19th minute.
After the break, Sadiq came through once again, teaming up with Parrott for the second time in the game to extend the lead to 3-1.
Parrott went on to register his third and fourth goals of the season before the Ghanaian registered his second goal of the 2024/25 league season.
Sadiq made a solo run before pulling the trigger from inside the box, beating the Heerenven goalkeeper to make it 6-1.
AZ scored three goals between the 75th minute and the 85th minute to end the game 9-1.
With his goal involvements over the weekend, Sadiq has now been directly involved in five goals in five games this season.
