Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has issued a stern warning to the people of Kintampo North in the Bono East Region.
The legislator says they will pay dearly if they fail to vote for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming elections.
He criticised the residents that despite holding several high-ranking government positions, the region has shown nothing but ungratefulness by supporting the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in past elections.
He further threatened to block infrastructure and sports projects if the NPP does not win in the region.
“If you don’t vote [for NPP] and you insist that we should come and develop this area… I am the Chairman at Ghana Gas who can authorise its construction, but I will personally not do it. Because you never vote for us. You will collect all there is in the world but won’t vote for us,” Kennedy Agyapong said angrily.
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia's running mate, Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh also urged Kintampo North constituents to change their voting pattern.
He insisted that the NPP has consistently proven to be an all-inclusive party that does not discriminate.
NAPO assured them that voting for Dr Bawumia is electing a leader who will steer Ghana forward by implementing transformative policies to enhance the country's development.
