As the 2024 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) National Championship draws near excitement and suspense are on the rise.
This eagerly awaited school quiz competition is making a grand return, with schools from across the country preparing for the thrilling national championship showdown.
More than 100 schools have entered the competition, all competing for the prestigious trophy and top honours.
Out of this impressive field, 27 schools have secured a slot in the one-eighth stage of the national championship.
The centre of the intellectual showdown of the preliminary and one-eight stages is the Centre for National Culture (CNC), UCC Auditorium 900 and School of Graduate Studies (SGS) Auditorium where all participating schools will gather for the intellectual showdown.
The launch of the 2024 NSMQ and the balloting for the preliminary stage will take place at the New GNAT Hall on October 1 at 3 PM.
The preliminary rounds will be held from October 14 to October 17.
After the one-eighth stage, the successful schools will advance to the quarter-finals and semi-final stages, which will be held at the SGS Auditorium.
The national championship will conclude with the grand finale at the New Education Centre (NEC).
