The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has assured the public that there will be no power outages despite a planned maintenance exercise by Eni Ghana Exploration and Production Limited and its partners on the FPSO John Agyekum Kufuor and related infrastructure.
The maintenance, scheduled from Thursday, September 12 to Wednesday, September 18, 2024, is expected to cause a temporary curtailment in gas supply from the facilities.
However, the government has made alternative fuel arrangements to ensure uninterrupted power generation during this period.
In a press statement released on Wednesday, September 11, ECG stated, "We do not anticipate power outages as a result of this exercise.
"However, in the unlikely event that power generation is impacted, the public will be duly informed."
The company is monitoring the situation closely and remains committed to minimising any potential disruptions to electricity supply during the maintenance period.
