The Director General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Samuel Awuku, has charged volunteers to work tirelessly to ensure the election of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) presidential candidate.
Speaking to a volunteer group of the party, NPP Sweepers, Mr Awuku emphasised that the NPP is blessed with a credible and incorruptible candidate in Dr. Bawumia, and therefore, it is essential to do everything possible to get him elected.
He urged volunteers to capitalise on the superior message of the NPP and work towards convincing Ghanaians to vote for Dr. Bawumia in the upcoming elections.
The volunteers stormed some principal streets of Accra on Wednesday to canvass votes for Dr. Bawumia ahead of the polls.
The Spokesperson for Dr Bawumia's presidential campaign, Denis Miracle Aboagye also rallied party supporters to step up their efforts in the lead-up to the December 7 elections.
Mr Aboagye emphasised that the election will be won through the energies and spirit of volunteerism, urging the NPP Sweepers to occupy every available space and engage constructively with the party's superior message.
He expressed confidence that the NPP can emerge victorious, declaring that "December 7th is ours for the taking."
With the elections just around the corner, the NPP is pulling out all the stops to secure victory and the over 300 young professionals, students, and party faithfuls are contributing their quota.
On Wednesday, they painted the Madina to 37 Hospital stretch with NPP colours and placards bearing campaign messages including Free SHS, No Betting Tax, Free Tertiary Education for Persons With Disabilities among other campaign promises of the party's presidential candidate.
