Flagbearer of the All-People’s Congress (APC), Dr Hassan Ayariga, has announced Rev. Dr. Samuel Worlanyo Mensah as his running mate.
Dr. Ayariga believes this will be the right partnership to secure victory for the party in the December 7 election.
The presidential aspirant made this revelation at a press conference in Accra on Wednesday, September 4.
Rev. Mensah is also the Head Pastor and Presiding Bishop of Christ White House Chapel in Ghana.
Dr Ayariga insists that his running mate's religious portfolio shows he is "a man of God, so no corruption."
In June, Hassan Ayariga announced plans to ban the operations of forex bureaus in Ghana if elected President.
This, he says, will help the cedi gain value against the foreign currencies.
Dr. Hassan Ayariga is also proposing to ban the importation of some foodstuffs and encourage farmers to produce for local consumption.
He believes Rev. Mensah is best suited to help him turn the country's economic fortunes around if given the nod.
"His philosophy is centered around making a positive impact, driving economic growth, and promoting social justice. With his diverse experience and expertise, he is a respected voice in Ghana's economy, and leadership, landscape," the flagbearer touted.
The running mate accepted the nomination and was sworn in immediately.
