Nigerian singer Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, popularly known as Spyro, has shared his experiences with pre-marital challenges, specifically his battle with fornication.
Spyro, who is widely recognised for his Christian faith, took to Instagram on Tuesday to disclose his struggle with sleeping with women before marriage.
The “Who’s Your Guy” hitmaker revealed that to overcome these temptations, he turned to prayer, seeking the strength to resist, adding that he eventually decided to sever ties with the women in his life, a decision he admitted was difficult to make.
Despite this progress, Spyro acknowledged that resisting temptation remains challenging.
He wrote, “Sex felt good till I could no longer bear struggling with my conscience,” Spyro wrote.
“Every time I “fornicated” knowing I ain’t married to the person, I feel troubled, like a part of me gets taken right after.
“I struggled for a while but I kept praying for strength and when the time came I disengaged from all lingering connections at the time …it hasn’t been easy especially when I travel and these clean girls begin to get funny around me and promoters never make it easy too but now they know but yea I am keeping this bed for ONE now.”
