Black Princesses' head coach, Yussif Basigi, says defeat to Austria now means his side must get the needed results at all costs in their remaining games.
Ghana lost 1-2 to Austria in their opening game at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup on Monday night.
A late strike from Stella Nyamekye was not sufficient for Yussif Basigi's side to earn points leaving them in a tight space ahead of their next games.
"I wouldn’t say there is no pressure at all because if we had won or drawn this game against Austria, it would’ve given us motivation," said Basigi after the game against the debutants.
"But now we have no option than to go all out with the remaining two games to go."
Ghana will face Japan, who won their opener with a 7-0 score, on Thursday, September 5, before facing New Zealand in their final group game.
The Black Princesses would need to finish as one of the top two in Group E or possibly one of the best third-place teams to advance to the knockout phase for the first time.
