The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has given an update on the ghastly accident involving coach, Otto Addo and his technical team.
Members of the Black Stars technical team were returning to Accra after a match between Ghana Premier League champions, FC Samartex 1996, and FA Cup holders, Nsoatreman, on Saturday, August 31, when their vehicle had an accident.
The accident caused significant damage to their vehicle, with images of the wreckage circulating on social media.
But a statement from the Communications Department of the GFA said all members of the Black Stars technical team, including head coach Otto Addo, are in stable condition.
“We are pleased to inform you that all three members of the technical team are in stable condition and will undergo further medical assessments as a precautionary measure upon their return to Accra.
“We are confident that the technical team will recover fully and be ready to lead the Black Stars in the upcoming AFCON qualifiers against Angola and Niger.
“We appreciate the concern shown by the public and ask for your continued support and prayers as we prepare for these important matches,” the GFA statement read.
