Madam Felicia Edem Attipoe, the Tema West Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), has urged assembly members and unit committee members in the municipality to work together to achieve development goals for their areas.
Ms Attipoe said the Assembly would provide the training needed to enhance the skills of its members and that of the unit committee.
She stressed the importance of teamwork, creative problem-solving, and taking initiative.
She said this at a town hall meeting at Tema Community Two to brief residents on the Tema West Municipal Assembly (TWMA) activities.
She pleaded with Assembly members to utilise vibrant unit committees and work together to solve issues.
Mr. Gilbert Kenneth Mawuli, the Presiding Member for the TWMA, reiterated the importance of collaboration and training, noting that it will help them to work together to address challenges in their areas.
Mr. Mawuli said they must know the Assembly’s structure and follow it to resolve any developmental issues, reminding assembly members of their critical role in leading development in their areas.
He highlighted the importance of understanding the roles and responsibilities of assembly members and committee members, adding that the planned training would help provide them with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively carry out their roles.
