The Kufuor Scholars Programme is celebrating the achievements of its exceptional scholars, who are making a lasting impact at Ashesi University and beyond.
Maxine Victoria Nana Ekua Twumwaa Brenya, a distinguished Kufuor Scholar, has been honoured with the prestigious Ashesi Presidential Award.
The award honours Maxine’s selfless contribution to the university's community, which is a testament to the program's effectiveness in nurturing visionary leaders.
Maxine's remarkable journey at Ashesi University is a shining example of the KSP's success.
Her dedication to excellence, humility, and broad intellect have made her a standout student, and her commitment to making a meaningful impact is inspiring.
From founding a fashion business to playing a crucial role in various initiatives and projects such as the curation lead for TEDx Ashesi and a research intern for the Design Lab on a mental health project, Maxine has consistently demonstrated leadership and a passion for creating positive change.
Her influence extends far beyond the university, with international collaborations, fellowships, and internships that showcase her global perspective and talent.
As a Melton Foundation fellow, she promotes global citizenship, and her work with Harvard MBA students and Ghanaian businesses demonstrates her ability to connect and drive impact across borders.
Maxine's accomplishments reflect the Kufuor Scholars Program's mission to develop leaders who lead with impact and vision.
Maxine’s Ashesi Presidential Award adds to another Kufuor Scholar, Abigail Yayra Asafo, who received the esteemed honour in 2022.
These achievements demonstrate the programme's success in nurturing leaders who excel on both national and global stages.
The Kufuor Scholars Program continues to be a powerful force in shaping Africa's future, preparing young leaders like Maxine to make significant contributions across diverse fields.
The Kufuor Scholar’s program offers students in level 100, yet to begin level 200 in any of the tertiary institutions in Ghana, a leadership program for a 3-year journey valued at US$26,000.
