Executive Council Member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Dr. Randy Abbey, has disclosed that negotiations to renew their partnership with betPawa for another year will be announced in the coming days.
The betting company signed a deal to be the headline sponsor for Ghana's top-flight football but withdrew their support at some point during the 2023/24 season.
The withdrawal raised concerns about the future of the partnership, but Abbey has put all that to bed.
“Well, it’s a partnership that was signed for one year; there was the expression to renew from both parties and we have gone far,” Randy Abbey told JoySports.
“I can say that we have almost concluded with negotiation and I’m sure that in the next few days, both parties will announce the details, so we are renewing for another year,” he added
The new Ghana Premier League season is set to commence on September 6.
