The Chief Executive Officer of Hasaacas Ladies, Evelyn Nsiah Asare, says she hopes the Women's Premier League clubs will receive the Ghana Football Association's promised buses before the start of the new season.
GFA President, Kurt Okraku, during congress last year, mentioned his administration was looking to secure buses for the various leagues to aid their transportation for games.
That target is close to becoming a reality after he told delegates at the 30th Ordinary Congress the buses had arrived and would soon be given to the clubs.
Speaking on the sidelines at the congress grounds, Nsiah Asare called for early distribution of the vehicles to aid the burden on clubs.
"[Congress] has been nice and I think there were some challenges that he touched which interests me most. The first one is the buses that he is going to give to women's football...It is my prayer that we will get the buses before the start of the league," she said.
"Secondly when you look at the development of women's football, we start from scratch so I believe this time, the President going down to Division One to start from there is a good thing we should all support because when you win the league in Division One and you are given GHS 10,000 to go to the middle league, it will solve the problem a halfway."
Women's football development has seen a facelift under the current GFA administration which has led to a host of improvements in the league and the respective national teams.
