The U.S. Embassy in Accra has transitioned to a new visa services provider as of August 26, 2024, marking a significant shift in the way visa services are managed.
Access to the previous visa service provider’s website and services officially ended on August 16, 2024.
The Embassy has assured all applicants that existing nonimmigrant visa interview appointments remain valid and unaffected by the change.
However, starting August 26, applicants are required to use the new visa service provider’s website to create a new user account.
This is necessary for updating DHL delivery preferences, reviewing account information, making changes, submitting requests, and contacting customer service.
The Embassy has stressed the need for applicants to resubmit requests for expedited appointments if they do not receive a response by the August 16 cutoff date.
Additionally, those who have already paid the visa application fee but have not yet scheduled an interview will be able to do so through the new provider’s website, subject to appointment availability.
Applicants are encouraged to promptly update their accounts and ensure they are familiar with the new system to avoid any disruptions in their visa application process.
The U.S. Embassy remains committed to providing support during this transition period to ensure a smooth experience for all visa applicants.
