Ghanaian forward Brandon Thomas-Asante scored his first goal for Coventry City as they beat Oxford United in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night.
The Black Stars forward scored the only goal of the game to help his side advance to the next stage of the competition.
Thomas-Asante was given his second start in this season's competition having also started against Bristol City in the first round.
The 25-year-old showed glimpses of his quality in the opening half of the fixture but none of the two teams was able to find the back of the net.
Just minutes after the return from recess, Thomas-Asante made his attack prowess count as he ended up on the scoresheet after being teed up by Kasey Palmer.
With his scoring account now opened, Thomas-Asante will hope to continue firing for his new club.
He joined Coventry this summer after leaving West Bromwich Albion.
