Ghanaian-based-Liberian singer and songwriter JZyNo has stated that he sometimes wanted to give up on music.
According to him, he wanted to test the waters of venturing into a new job.
Speaking with DJ Slim on Daybreak Hitz, JZyNO said; “There have been times I wanted to give up. Just yesterday, I had a conversation with a media personality and told him I feel I want to leave music and go and work.
"He then questioned me on what I was going to do. He informed me I didn't give up when I was struggling so why am I doing so when I had come to the spoiler", he said on Hitz FM.
He further stated that the reason behind his music was to connect Liberia to the world.
"I miss my family and let's be honest, I don't think I am doing music like a regular artist. Where I stand, I am doing music as a Liberian artist, trying to connect Liberia to the world.
"Now, I have strategies that I am using and I had to put in work 3 to 4 times a regular artist may put in", he added.
He also stated that although he is subject to restrictions as an artist, he finds ways to overcome them for perfection.
"I am not supposed to be going certain places or doing certain promotions because there are certain things I am not supposed to be doing but I do because I want to see results"
"You may see artists having people going into the streets to promote his or her song but I will go there myself because I want to see better results", the Butta My Bread hitmaker stated.
He also mentioned that though his industry is small, he is the most followed and streamed Liberian artist.
"My industry is a small one so you can't have a million followers just like that. We've been having people who have been there for years and they still can't see it.
"I am the most streamed and most followed Librarian on all digital platforms. It's not normal in Ghana or Nigeria to find one artist having it all but I am having it all because I am outside trying to tap different fan bases", he said.
He also mentioned his total stream on AudioMack is 70 million.
