The Ghana Police Service has denied the alleged training of militia at Kwahu in the Eastern Region in preparation for the 2024 general elections.
This follows a publication alleging the training of some men in the area for the upcoming polls.
The Police, in a statement, issued on Monday, August 19 clarified that their investigation has found no evidence to support these claims.
The statement also mentioned that investigations are ongoing to identify those responsible for the false publication.
"The Police have commenced investigation to identify those behind the false publication to come and answer for their actions in line with the due process of the law," portions of the statement noted.
The Police therefore warned the public against spreading fake news.
