The Education Manifesto Chair for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Prince Hamid Armah, has made a rousing call for unity within the party as they prepare for the 2024 elections.
Speaking at the close of the NPP’s health walk over the weekend, Dr Armah cautioned party members that Ghanaians would hold them accountable if they fail to secure victory and allow the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to take power.
Dr Armah, who also serves as the Kwesimintsim MP and the Deputy Minister for Works and Housing, spoke about the significance of the NPP’s accomplishments under both President Kufuor and the current Akufo-Addo administration.
He pointed to landmark initiatives such as the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), the School Feeding Programme, and the Free SHS policy as pivotal achievements that justify the need to retain power.
Lauding the leadership of DrMahamudu Bawumia and his running mate, DrDrtthew Opoku Prempeh, Dr. Armah expressed confidence in their vision for Ghana’s future.
He urged NPP members to ramp up grassroots campaigning to ensure the party’s message resonates with every voter.
Dr Armah concluded with a stark reminder: the onus is on party members to keep the NPP in power, warning that failure to do so would be unforgivable in the eyes of the Ghanaian public.
