Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has reaffirmed his dedication to the youth of Ghana vowing to address their concerns and support their future.
Dr. Bawumia explained his readiness to serve and listen to the younger generation on Sunday.
"I have listened to your concerns and soaked your aspirations. I want to assure you that I am for you. Our nation is at a crossroads.
With the presidential election in December 2024 on the horizon, Dr. Bawumia expressed confidence in his leadership capabilities. “Our nation is at a crossroads,” he remarked.
"I am a problem-solving leader. Over the past seven years, with the support of President Nana Akufo-Addo, I have led initiatives to tackle critical issues in public service delivery."
He made this known at the NPP manifesto launch in Takoradi on August 18, 2024.
Dr. Bawumia highlighted his track record of integrity and effective leadership, saying, “I believe the Almighty has endowed me with the character needed to implement bold solutions for our future.”
Detailing his extensive experience, he noted, “My career—from academia to my roles at the Bank of Ghana and the African Development Bank, and now as Vice President—has been built on competence, diligence, and effective management."
"These qualities have enabled me to see projects through to successful completion.”
In closing, Dr. Bawumia pledged his commitment to the future of Ghana.
"I am determined to make your future my priority if given the mandate to serve," he said.
"My proven ability to manage and deliver results sets me apart. With my national and international credentials, I am ready to apply my expertise to national governance with a strong commitment to transformation,” Dr. Bawumia said.
"The NPP delegates have given me their mandate based on my track record and successful delivery of key projects. Given my proven integrity, I humbly ask you, ladies and gentlemen, that you hand over the steer to me." he said
