The running mate of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, says his flagbearer is not a corrupt person and has maintained a spotless record throughout his public career.
According to him, Dr Bawumia has never faced accusations or investigations related to corruption.
Speaking at the NPP manifesto launch on August 18, he said “In his public life, he has never been accused of corruption and in his public life. He has never been investigated for corruption. I am sure and certain that you are giving an honourable man a chance to continue. No matter what the naysayers say, he is not corrupt. He has never been accused of corruption and he has never been investigated and will never be corrupt.”
According to Napo, those with questionable pasts who believe they have won the elections should be wary, as Dr Bawumia is set to win the December 7 general and presidential elections.
“We will fight from room to room, house to house, village to village, community to community, that never again will we have dumsor. Never again will money be the determinant of how much education level you will achieve.”
“Surely the day of accountability is coming straight to some of them who have skeletons in their cupboards. I promise that we will work and deliver a better Ghana for legacy purposes.”
In addition, Mr Prempeh described Dr Bawumia as a man of vision and mission to turn the economy around.
“He is humble but he is firm. He is respectful, honest and loyal. He is the problem solver and handworker. He is a man of integrity and destined to take Ghana to the next level,” he said.
