Nsoatreman FC claimed a vital victory in the first leg of the first preliminary round of the 2024/25 CAF Confederation Cup, defeating Chad's TP Elect-Sport 3-0 in at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The Ghanaian side, making their debut in the African inter-club competition, dominated the encounter, scoring all three goals in the first half.
Mohammed Abdul Rahman opened the scoring in the 30th minute after a well-executed team play. Just four minutes later, Adu Kwabena Meider found the back of the net to make it 2-0. Abdul Rahman then scored his second goal in the 36th minute, effectively putting the game beyond the visitors.
Nsoatreman FC maintained their lead throughout the second half, securing a crucial win ahead of the second leg in Cameroon on August 24, 2024.
The winner of this tie will face either Algerian side CS Constantine or Rwanda's Police FC in the second round in September.
