The Member of Parliament for Damongo, Samuel Abu Jinapor has affirmed the capability of NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to steer the country in the right direction.
The lawmaker contrasted this with what he sees as a disappointing record of the previous National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration.
“We the youth have a clear choice to make like never before. A choice between eight years of tangible and impactful achievement against eight years of broken promises and an era of unemployment."
He said this at the unveiling of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) manifesto in Takoradi.
The Damongo legislator further urged Ghanaian youth to vote for Dr. Bawumia in the 2024 elections.
Speaking on Sunday, he indicated that the manifesto will be effectively implemented if the party gets the nod in the December polls.
Meanwhile, the National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Stephen Ayesu Ntim commended the leadership of the ruling government for leading Ghana from the brink of despair to economic recovery.
According to him, during global health crises, including Covid-19, the government worked hard to come up with measures to make the country more manageable and relatively better to serve the needs of all Ghanaians.
"Under the visionary leadership of the president, Ghana has risen from the brink of despair. We are on the right path, from where I sit, towards economic prosperity and have embarked on far-reaching institutional reforms for good and accountable governance within a stable democratic society," he said.
