Promising Ghanaian forward Charles Sagoe Jr. has signed a long-term contract with Arsenal and will spend the 2024/25 season on loan with League One side Shrewsbury Town.
The 20-year-old joined Arsenal's academy from Fulham in July 2015 and signed his first professional contract with the Gunners in July 2022.
During the 2023/24 season, he made 16 appearances for Arsenal’s academy, scoring three goals and providing 10 assists.
Sagoe Jr. also made his first-team debut in a 1-0 Carabao Cup victory over Brentford in September 2023.
The versatile forward, who had a brief loan spell with Swansea City last season, was named as a substitute in both Arsenal’s Premier League win against Burnley and their UEFA Champions League victory over Sevilla in November 2023.
Arsenal will host Wolves at home on Saturday, August 17th, 2024, for their first Premier League game of the 2024/25 season.
