Benjamin Azamati, became the first Ghanaian since 2004 to reach an Olympic men’s 100m semifinal, at the Paris 2024 games, and seems bent on building on that success.
The National record holder over 100m, has announced, he is set to team up with renowned athletics coach, John Bolton.
Azamati will relocate to California, where he will team up with Olympic 100m bronze medalist Fred Kerley, under Bolton’s guidance.

Benjamin Azamati is relocating to California to train with American sprinter Fred Kerley under the guidance of renowned coach John Bolton.

Azamati set the national record of 9.90 seconds back in 2022, but has since stagnated in form.
The 26 year old has not broken the 10 second barrier in just over two years, something he expects to change under Bolton.
University of Southern California track and field program named John Bolton as assistant coach for sprints earlier this month.
