The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama will today launch the youth manifesto ahead of the December 7 election.
The launch, which will take place at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), forms part of youth-centered activities to commemorate the 2024 International Youth Day on August 12.
In an interview on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, the National Youth Organiser, George Opare Addo said the NDC chose the day to reassure young people of their commitment to reset Ghana.
“We have titled it 'The Pledge': thus our promises to Ghanaians which will touch on health, education, agriculture, ICT, mining, environment, jobs, inclusive and good governance among others,” he noted.
Mr Addo stressed the manifesto will outline Mr. Mahama’s strategies and pledges to empower the youth and address the critical challenges they face.
Later in the day, he announced that the former President will engage with young people at a special event dubbed Mahama Youth Town Hall Meeting at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
It will be a platform for the youth to interact with Mr Mahama, ask questions and discuss his policies, particularly those focused on reducing youth unemployment and promoting education, skills development, and entrepreneurship.
