The national Under-20 Football team, the Black Satellites, begin their quest to add the WAFU Zone B Championship trophy to their Africa Games Gold medal at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, Prampram, from Sunday, 11th August, 2024.
In a bid to strengthen the squad that made Ghana proud earlier this year, the preparations commence with a camp for thirty-five [35] players drawn from the Africa Games squad, the squad that toured Europe a few weeks ago and some additional players who have caught the eyes of Coach Desmond Ofei and his Technical team, including two players who participated in the recently held WAFU Zone B Under-17 Championship held in Accra.
The players are expected to report at the GFA's Technical Centre, the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, for the first phase of preparations.
Further preparatory activities are planned for the ensuing weeks by the end of which Coach Ofei would name the final squad to participate in the WAFU Zone B Under-20 Championship.
These exercises are expected to increase the competition for places in the Black Satellites, thus ensuring that players who ultimately make the squad would be very competitive and primed to make the nation proud once again.
