MTN Mobile Money, a leader in digital financial services, has kicked off its 15th-anniversary celebration in grand style with traders and residents of Ho in the Volta Region.
The event, which took place at the Ho Central Market, was marked by a series of exciting offers, giveaways, and gifts, making the milestone a memorable one for the community.
MTN Ghana has grown its MoMo service into an essential tool for financial transactions across the country, and the event in Ho was a testament to this success.
The anniversary celebration brought together hundreds of traders and residents, all eager to participate in the festivities and take advantage of the generous offers provided by MTN.
Traders in Ho, who have long relied on MTN MoMo for their business transactions, expressed their satisfaction with the service. Many of them shared stories of how mobile money has significantly boosted their businesses, offering a level of financial security they hadn’t experienced before.
"Before MoMo, we faced constant challenges with handling cash, including theft and losses. Now, with MoMo, we can safely store our earnings and make transactions without worrying about carrying large sums of money," said Joyce, a trader at the Ho Central Market.

Another trader, Efo Kwame, echoed these sentiments, noting that MoMo has revolutionized the way they do business. "With MoMo, we can pay suppliers and receive payments instantly. There's no need to leave our stalls to go to the bank, which saves us time and money. We've also seen an increase in sales because customers find it convenient to pay with MoMo," he explained.
In addition to the practical benefits of MoMo, the anniversary celebration also highlighted the personal impact of the service. Many residents spoke about how MoMo has transformed their daily lives, making it easier to send money to family members, pay bills, and conduct business transactions with ease.
MTN Ghana used the occasion to reward loyal customers with gifts, including branded items, airtime, and free MoMo transactions. The excitement was palpable as residents participated in fun games and activities, with many walking away with prizes.
