Akropong JHS receives 21 computers for ICT learning

The Akropong Junior High School has received 21 desktop computers to facilitate the learning of ICT in the school.

This was made possible by the efforts of a team in Canada – Dan Chan, Leslie Chan, and Prof Mark Awuku.

The Presentation was made on their behalf by Dr Kwame Aniapam Boafo President of the La Constance Center for Global Health an NGO in the United States.

Dr Aniapam said that ICT is the new Direction of Development and He feels happy to have the opportunity to have this done.

He thanked all those involved in making this possible and hoped that the Students would feel equally proud and rise to the occasion.

The Headmaster of the School Samuel Bugri said He was awed by the Donation and suggested that a Management and a Maintenance Team would be put together to ensure that the ICT lab is well taken care of. He thanked immensely Dr Aniapam and his team.

The Girl's Senior Prefect gave a vote of thanks and expressed a deep appreciation for the Donation on behalf of the Students and said they would ensure a deep commitment to making the ICT Center viable and a great learning source.

Present at the Function were Rev Richard Aferi (Headmaster, Okuapemman School) - Local manager's Rep., Salomey Obuo - Catechist- Peace Congregation, Ankobea Akonnor Bekoe- SMC Chairman, Pascal Agombe- PTA Chairman, Daniel Awere- Senior Presbyter, Staff Members were also fully represented and some Parents were present as well.

Ms Akosua Ansaa a Teacher at the School was critical in putting all of this together.
