Access Bank (Ghana) Plc has been adjudged Ghana’s Best Bank in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) at the 2024 Euromoney Banking Awards for Excellence held in London, UK.
The recognition underscores the bank’s commitment to environmental stewardship, social responsibility, governance excellence, and a dedication to diversity and inclusion.
The “Best Bank for ESG” is conferred on firms that demonstrate significant progress and leadership in environmental, social, and governance practices.
Reacting to this achievement, Managing Director of Access Bank Ghana, Olumide Olatunji, emphasised the bank’s commitment to sustainable strategies.

Some of the bank’s sustainability initiatives include Green Ghana Day tree planting exercise, Womenpreneur Pitchaton, Fist Against Fistula, SME Fairs & Clinics, Waste Is Useful campaign, Coding for Kids (C4Kids), and ‘A Sandal More for a Better Tomorrow’ project, an initiative that seeks to produce eco-friendly and comfortable footwear from used car tyres for deprived school children across the country, among others.
