The Executive Board Chairman of Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede XIV, says the management and the board are working closely to ensure they have a competitive squad for the upcoming season.
Hearts flirted with relegation during the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season and were saved on the final day of the top flight following their win over Bechem United.
Despite the on-field challenges, Hearts continue to make massive strides in their infrastructure following the reception of the newly built commercial centre.
Speaking following the reception of the new building, Togbe Afede said there are plans to complement the off-the-field progress with players capable of competing at the highest level.
"We know that it doesn't take only infrastructure," he said.
"We need solid management, we continue to work at it. We need a solid technical team, we continue to work on that as well. We need solid group of players, we are working at it.
"We want to assure our fans that management is committed, the board is committed to assembling the best squad possible. Sometimes it takes time because time constraints are beyond your control...As much as we can find those who are available we will bring them into the family."
Hearts will have an opportunity for silverware when they face Heart of Lions in the 2024 edition of the Gbese Mantse Homowo Peace Charity Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium on August 11.
