Edudzi Tameklo, the lawyer for Minority Leader Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has expressed unwavering confidence in his client's innocence.
He emphasised his belief that Dr Ato Forson was being persecuted rather than prosecuted and was confident of vindication.
The Court of Appeal, in a 2:1 decision on Tuesday, acquitted and discharged Dr Cassiel Ato Forson and Richard Jakpa, the third accused in the Ambulance Case.

The ruling overturned a previous trial court order requiring Dr Ato Forson and Jakpa to present their defence.
The two were accused of causing a financial loss of €2.37 million to the state in a deal to procure ambulances for the Government of Ghana.
Justice Alex Poku Acheampong dissented, while Justices Kweku Tawiah Ackah-Boafo and Philip Bright Mensah ruled in favour of the accused.
Following the ruling, Attorney General Godfred Dame issued a statement criticising the decision.
He described it as perverse and contrary to the substantial evidence presented by the prosecution. Dame argued that the decision undermines public accountability and the rule of law.
In an interview on JoyNews' PM Express with Evans Mensah, Edudzi Tameklo asserted that even if the Attorney General challenges the ruling, he is confident that Dr. Ato Forson will ultimately be vindicated.
"I’ve always believed in the innocence of my client [Dr Cassiel Ato Forson] and I can tell you, whether Supreme Court or Antoa or Nogokpo, my client will be vindicated," he insisted.
