Fans of Ghanaian gospel Musician Benedicta Kumi have been blessed with the release of another spiritually-inspired song titled ‘More of You.'
The Amapiano-themed gospel song marks Benedicta’s second single for the year 2024. The song was released on July 20 across streaming platforms, followed by the release of its lovely video on July 27.
'More of You', produced by Mixman Studios and mastered by Willis Beatz, talks about the essence of allowing one’s self to be consumed by the spirit of God, and living in accordance with His will. It also stresses on God’s amazing grace, love, and His ability to offer second chances to mortals by “making [them] whole again”.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the composition and style of the song, Benedicta Kumi explained, “it felt as though I carried a burden of an unfinished assignment of reaching out to youths in every corner of the earth, including ghettos, with the good news of the Lord. This salvation message came in a form of music, so I look forward to gathering many youths soon through this song, to fulfill the agenda”.
“I want the youth in Ghana, and around the world to meditate on the salvation and revival message in the song for spiritual growth and divine encounters with the Lord”, she further mentioned.
The inspiration is evident in Benedicta’s choice of genre - Amapiano - a trendy widely acclaimed genre originating from South Africa. Many Ghanaian youths have demonstrated their love for the genre, which makes it easy for the gospel minister to achieve her dream of possession the nations for the Lord through music.
More of You is fresh and danceable, and most importantly drums home its ultimate message of allowing one’s self to walk the path of pleasing God. It’s out on all streaming platforms.
Its incredibly colorful accompanying video was shot by music video director Xbills Ebenezer, and is very appealing to the eye with well-choreographed dance moves. The video is currently enjoying good reactions and impressive reviews on YouTube.
Benedicta Kumi is a gospel minister whose music ministration journey began before age 10, eventually dedicating her life to using her God-given talent in glorifying her maker. She is a product of the University of Ghana, who has honed her skills as both a vocalist and a songwriter, crafting melodies that resonate with listeners across generations.
