- The Electoral Commission will conduct a Mop-Up Voter Registration Exercise from August 1-3, 2024.
- Those eligible to register are those who turned 18 years after the Limited Voter Registration Exercise ended on 29th May 2024, and eligible persons who could not register during the Limited Registration Exercise.
- The exercise will occur at the 268 district offices of the Commission, 26 public universities, and 41 prison centres across the country.
- The exercise will start at 7 a.m. and end at 6 p.m. each day.
- The Commission projects to register between 50,000 and 70,000 voters.

- The Commission has received assurances from MTN that there will be a stable network during the exercise.
- The Commission reiterated that the PROVISIONAL number of voters on the Voters Register is 18,681,366.
