The Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) is calling for entries of films across Africa to commemorate its 20th-anniversary ceremony.
The year 2024 marks the 20th anniversary celebrating the rich tapestry of films and filmmakers across Africa.
This is necessitated by the call for a late entry submission which has been extended to the August 10, 2024.
The dream of recognizing and elevating African storytelling through the cinema was birth and conceived by the Africa Movie Academy Awards founder, Peace Anyiam Osigwe of blessed memory.
The story of networking and rewarding the great African filmmaker is incomplete without PEACE, her infringing efforts, commitments and dedication are a testament to the growth of Nollywood and the African film.
Through her contribution and achievements, the world of cinema is honoring, the creativity, innovation and hard work of Africa’s filmmakers across the globe.
Since its inception, AMAA has been dedicated to promoting excellence in film, fostering a thriving network of professionals, and shining a spotlight on the extraordinary talents that. shape the industry.
As the Africa Movie Academy Awards celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, the founder of the award scheme, Peace Ayiam Osigwe, will be eulogized for her great contributions and mission to offer a platform that connects industry veterans and newcomers alike, fostering collaboration and innovation.
The call for submissions for the 20th edition of the AMAA has been extended to accommodate submissions across Africa.
Feature films, short films, documentaries, etc., produced and released between January 2023 - July 2024 will be considered.
