Ghanaians and indeed the whole of the world are waiting with anticipation as the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) kicks off its annual Greater Works Conference today, Monday, July 29.
This year’s event is particularly significant as the church marks its 40th anniversary.
Running from today, Monday, July 29, 2024, through Friday, August 2, 2024, the conference will be hosted at Christ Temple East, the church's prominent location in Teshie.
The timing of the conference coincides with the conclusion of the church’s global fasting and prayer period, known as the 40 Days of Power, which underscores the importance of this year’s gathering.
Session Details and Networking Opportunities
The conference will feature both evening and morning sessions to accommodate diverse schedules.
Evening sessions will commence today, July 29, at 5 pm, while morning sessions will begin tomorrow Tuesday, July 30, at 9 am.
This structure allows participants to engage deeply in both spiritual and communal activities.
The conference also serves as a global gathering, offering attendees an excellent opportunity to network with people from all walks of life and from all over the world.
This aspect encourages the sharing of ideas and experiences across diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Attendees will enjoy vibrant musical ministrations from the ICGC choirs, known for their uplifting performances.
A special highlight will be the participation of guest song minister Nathaniel Bassey from Nigeria, whose music is celebrated for its inspirational and worshipful impact.
Streaming and Broadcast
For those unable to attend in person, the conference will be streamed live on ICGC's social media pages and broadcast on Joy Prime TV, allowing a global audience to participate in the spiritual and communal experiences from anywhere in the world.
Transportation
To ensure that all attendees can fully participate in the conference, buses will be available to convey them to and from the venue each day. This service is provided to make the experience as convenient and accessible as possible for everyone.
Preachers
The conference will be led by Pastor Mensa Otabil, who will be joined by a distinguished lineup of speakers including Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo from Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) in the United Kingdom, Bishop Mike Okonkwo of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM) in Nigeria, and Bishop Tudor Bismark from Jabula New Life Covenant Church in Harare, Zimbabwe.
These esteemed speakers will deliver powerful messages aimed at uplifting and challenging attendees, encouraging them to embrace Christ-like principles and contribute positively to their communities and the broader African continent.
Pastor Mensa Otabil is set to deliver the keynote address on the opening night and lead a communion service to formally end the 40-day fast. He will also conclude the conference with the highly anticipated anointing service on Friday.
Ahead of the conference, Pastor Otabil has thrown an open invitation to Christians from all walks of life to participate in Greater Works.
He expressed his own sense of anticipation and urged believers to come with hearts full of expectation.
“This week, we will experience a profound manifestation of God’s presence. This is our God year and we must prepare to encounter the Lord in all dimensions of His glory,” he said.
Pastor Otabil also emphasised that “what God offers is within your reach. It is up to you to step forward and claim it, which requires fighting the good fight of faith.
The encouraging news is that God has already paved the way. Although challenges may arise, victory is assured because the outcome has already been determined.”
