The 2024 Tennis in Schools programme concluded at the Mamprobi Senior High School Astroturf in Accra, leaving a lasting impression on students and the community alike.
This second edition, held in collaboration with the Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF) and the Ghana Education Service (GES), brought together eager tennis enthusiasts aged eight to ten.
Special awards were given to standout students for their impressive displays throughout the session.
“At the moment, we're running the Tennis in Schools programme across several districts, ensuring every child gets a chance to participate," said the CEO of PM Sports, Peter Mensah.
"This initiative is not just about finding champions; it’s about nurturing talent and providing life-changing opportunities. Since its inception seven years ago, we've seen incredible success stories.”
“The current U12 and U14 national champions started with us, which shows we're on the right track. One of our most inspiring stories is a wheelchair player who has been with us since 2018 and has represented Ghana in numerous international tournaments. Witnessing such progress is incredibly rewarding.”
Launched in 2017, the Tennis in Schools programme aims to introduce tennis to a wide range of Ghanaian students, fostering both athletic and personal growth.
