The Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL) has cut ties with the Ghana Post Company Limited in the Ashanti Region after its expansion into the region.
This strategic move comes as GPCL sets up a regional branch to ease operations, enabling it to maximize revenue generation and cut down on the cost of delivering services to its clients in the Ashanti region.
Deputy Managing Director of the GPCL, Sammy Binfo Darkwa, highlighted the positive impact of the decentralisation efforts which provide additional savings for the publishing company.
According to him, "With our new branch in the Ashanti Region, we can efficiently manage resources internally without having to pay extra fees associated with using Ghana Post's services."
As part of the transition, the GPCL head office in the Ashanti Region will handle deliveries traditionally managed by Ghana Post.
According to the Deputy Managing director, although there might be some slight alterations due to this restructuring process, ensuring continued customer satisfaction and consistent services remains paramount for the business.
He added that ”the partnership between GPCL and Ghana Post had proven advantageous for years, changing circumstances prompted GPCL to reassess and modify its logistical arrangements”.
Sammy Binfoh Darkwa indicated that the GPCL will be maintaining focus on fulfilling clients' needs seamlessly as it relocates to the Region.
While the collaboration ends in the Ashanti Region, it continues across major parts of the country.
Customers must stay informed about possible updates relating to pickup points or other relevant procedures specific to the Ashanti Region during this transitional phase.
