Blow Chem Industries has signed a deal with the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) to become the headline sponsor of the professional league.
Blow Chem Ghana signs an undisclosed long-term deal that will see the Bel 7Star energy drink become headliners of the championship for its third season.
The announcement of the deal took place at the Bukom Boxing Arena on Saturday, July 20, 2024.
The partnership deal will now see the competition renamed as Bel 7Star Boxing Professional League.
Bel 7Star comes in as a replacement for De-Luxy Paint who were headline sponsors in the opening season of the championship.
Speaking at the unveiling of the partnership, the Head of Marketing for Blow Chem, Mr Magnus Dey, detailed the rationale behind the partnership with the Ghana Boxing Authority.
"Boxing to us is just not a sport. It's more like a cultural heritage which needs to be reserved and especially for the people of Bukom who are passionate about our boxing," he said.
"As a brand that is committed to community development, we took it upon ourselves to support this prolific sport and boost the confidence of our local fight, give them the opportunity they need to showcase their skills and determination and a national scale."

President of the Ghana Boxing Authority, Abraham Kotei Neequaye, lauded Blow Group of Companies for the decision to take up the position as headline sponsors.
"For Bel 7Star coming on board, we are very happy and we know we are going to build on this relationship," he said.
"We know next year they will still be with us because we will continue the league. We have done the season one and two and this is the third season we are doing now."
The third season of the league officially kicked off following the launch with the first night of fights at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
