The campaign chairperson for NDC flagbearer, John Mahama, in the Amenfi Central constituency, Joana Gyan, has donated two Toyota Hilux pick-up vehicles to bolster the party’s campaign efforts.
The vehicles were officially received by the Regional Chairman Nana Toku on behalf of the constituency at the Sekondi NDC Regional Head Office on July 17.
She is hopeful the donation will enhance the party’s mobility and operational efficiency as it gears up for the December 7 general elections.
During the handing-over ceremony, Joana Gyan reaffirmed her commitment to the NDC and highlighted the importance of retaining the Amenfi Central seat.
She spoke about the economic challenges facing Ghanaians and highlighted the need for a change in leadership.
“I am ever ready and committed to working with you all to ensure that we deliver an NDC victory in the Western Region and retain the Amenfi Central seat so we can continue the good works,” Joana Gyan said.
She further stressed the urgency of addressing the country's economic woes.
“Ghanaians are suffering under the current leadership, and only a John Mahama presidency can save us. Please use these cars to reach every corner and spread the message of hope from the good policies of our flagbearer, John Mahama.”
In response, Regional Chairman Nana Toku who received the cars in the company of constituency executives expressed gratitude for Joana Gyan’s substantial donation.
He assured her that the vehicles would be utilised effectively to amplify the party’s campaign activities and pledged to manage them prudently to ensure their longevity and optimal performance.
"In my political career, I have never witnessed an individual donating two pick-up trucks to a single constituency. This is truly humbling, and we are deeply grateful to you, Joana Gyan," he stated.
The donation of the Toyota Hilux pick-ups is part of a series of support initiatives by Joana Gyan, providing a significant boost to the NDC’s campaign efforts in Amenfi Central.
