A select team comprising Members and staff of Parliament, recorded a surprise 3-1 win over ex-Ghanaian footballers in a curtain raiser friendly ahead of the Democracy Cup game on Wednesday night.
The Parliamentarians' first goal came from the MP for Obuasi East, Dr. Patrick Boakye-Yiadom, who controlled a superb pass from midfield before slotting the ball past the onrushing Richard Olele Kingson.
The 47-year old's goal impressed the teeming crowd at the Accra Sports Stadium, and since being shared on social media, many people have been heaping praise on the Medical Doctor.

Hamza Ibrahim added a brace to Dr. Boakye-Yiadom's goal to secure the win for the Parliamentarians, while Sulley Muntari converted a free-kick for the ex-footballers' consolation goal.
The Democracy Cup match was to celebrate 30 years of parliamentary democracy in Ghana.
In the main game, Asante Kotoko beat Hearts of Oak 2-1 to lift the Cup.
As their reward, the Porcupine Warriors will now face MLS side DC United in a friendly later this year in Washington DC.
