Atalanta have announced the signing of Ghanaian international Ibrahim Sulemana from Cagliari Calcio for €7.5 million.
The midfielder signed a four-and-half year contract to reunite with his former employers.
He starred for the Atalanta academy before enjoying professional stints at Hellas Verona and Cagliari.
The 21-year-old defensive midfielder signed after an impressive season with Cagliari, in which he made 24 appearances in all competitions and scored 2 goals.
He was ranked the third best player for the club in ball recoveries per 90 last minutes.
Sulemana will have an opportunity to feature in the Champions League following the club's fourth-placed finish last season.
