Ghanaian gospel musician, Akesse Brempong will be speaking at a World PR Day forum organised by the Department of Strategic Communication of the University of Education, Winneba.
The programme will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at the North Assembly Hall of the school.
Themed ‘The Future of Public Relations in the Digital Era’, this event will also feature Professor Albert Akwasi Wornyo, the Dean at the School Communication and Media Studies; Ernest Azutiga, PR Expert at UEW;and Georgina Asare Fiagbenu, Head of Corporate Communications at MTN Ghana.
Evans Akesse Brempong, an artiste, lecturer and a student at the university, will be speaking about Artificial Intelligence and its implications for public relations practice.
Evans is an award-winning gospel artiste with a plethora of hit songs under his belt.
After a decade of practice in public relations at Pentecost University, Akesse transitioned into full-time faculty. He is currently a lecturer at the department of communication and media, Pentecost University.
He holds a bachelor of arts in communication design from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He also has a master of philosophy in media and communication from the University of Education Winneba where he is currently pursuing a doctor of philosophy in Media and Communication.
His research interest is in advertising, new media, and gender ideologies where he continues to make invaluable scholarly contributions.
In the gospel music circles, he has songs like 'Victory', 'Okraso Nyame', 'Crazy Love', 'God is Working', 'Worthy', among others.
