Carlos Alcaraz powered to victory over an out-of-sorts Novak Djokovic in a bewildering final to defend his men's singles title at Wimbledon.
A repeat of last year's showpiece, it failed to live up to the five-set thriller of 12 months ago as Djokovic appeared helpless against the dominant Spaniard.
After squandering three championship points when trying to serve out the victory, Alcaraz held his arms aloft after edging through the third-set tie-break for a 6-2 6-2 7-6 (7-4) win.
Alcaraz now has four Grand Slams and a perfect record in major finals. The 21-year-old Spaniard has won back-to-back Wimbledon titles, the 2022 US Open and last month secured his first French Open crown.

Djokovic will have to wait to equal Federer on eight Wimbledon titles or overhaul Margaret Court's record by reaching 25 grand slam titles.
Carlos Alcaraz becomes the ninth man to retain his Wimbledon title in the Open era.
Novak Djokovic was the last player to do so, winning in both 2021 and 2022.
Also on the list is Roger Federer, Pete Sampras, Boris Becker, John McEnroe, Bjorn Borg, John Newcombe and Rod Laver.
Spaniard Rafael Nadal never won consecutive Wimbledon titles.
