Princess Marfo says she is excited about the prospect of playing with the Black Queens for the first time this weekend.
The Bay FC midfielder was called up for the first time ahead of Ghana's friendly game against Japan, scheduled for Saturday, July 13.
The Right to Dream Academy graduate was first watched by Black Queens head coach Nora Hauptle two years ago before eventually being called to the senior national team.
Having trained with the group all week, Marfo has vowed to put in the effort when she gets the opportunity to be on the field.
"It's a pleasure to join the Queens for the first time. The atmosphere has been really pleasing and the teammates have been welcoming. I am looking forward to Saturday's game against Japan," she told the Black Queens media team.
"I am looking forward to doing my best every day on the field to serve the country."
The game against Japan will be played at the Go Go Curry Stadium with kickoff at 6:20 am.
