Dutch-born of Ghanaian descent Gabriel Misehouy has signed a four-year contract with La Liga side Girona.
The attacking midfielder joins the Spanish outfit on a free transfer after leaving the Dutch side Ajax where he played for the youth setup.
Misehouy will be looking to prove his worth at his new club in the 2024/25 season with Girona also set to compete in the UEFA Champions League.
"Gabriel Misehouy, 18 years old, will be a Girona FC player for the next 4 seasons. The Dutch attacker, who emerged from Ajax Amsterdam's youth football, arrives free and signs a contract until June 2028. The player, who has dual nationality due to his Ghanaian origin, has already passed the medical tests and will begin the preseason this week at the orders of manager Míchel Sánchez," the Spanish club announced on their website.
“Gabriel Misehouy is a very offensive and versatile player. He can play as an attacking midfielder, midfielder, interior or even as a winger. He stands out for his dribbling, which allows him to navigate through tight spaces and take on defenders effectively, but also for his ability to filter passes and have the goal as his ultimate objective.
The youngster scored seven goals and provided three assists in 13 games last season wearing the Jong Ajax shirt in the Dutch second division.
Despite representing the Netherlands at U16, U17, and U18 levels, Misehouy is still eligible to play for the Ghana national team.
