President Akufo-Addo has touted Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh as the best person to partner with Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia in the upcoming elections.
According to him, his performance as Minister of Education and subsequently in the Health Ministry proves his point.
Addressing the New Patriotic Party (NPP) members present at the unveiling of Dr. Prempeh as Bawumia’s running mate in Kumasi, the president indicated that the Manhyia South MP effectively implemented the government’s flagship Free SHS program.
On the energy front, the President said the Minister successfully solved the issue of erratic power supply.
According to him, those claiming that there has been a return of the canker, known as 'Dumsor' are telling lies.
He further added that "yes, there have been a few occasions but he has done his best to ensure that power in our country was online."
On the back of these, he urged the crowd at the Jubilee Park in Kumasi to rally behind the new running mate.
