Xodus Communications Limited, organisers of various industry awards has announced the nominees for the much-anticipated 2024 Forty Under 40 Awards ceremony.
During the nominee’s announcement, PayAngel, an international pro-African payment and remittance company was announced as the new headline sponsor.
The 8th edition which is in partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Graphic News Plus will take place at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra on 7th September, 2024.
The 2024 Forty Under 40 Awards will celebrate a cross-section of the nation’s most influential and accomplished young business leaders under the age of forty from a wide range of industries who are doing exceptionally well in the sector that promotes growth and sustainability in the country.
Over the past eight years, the revered scheme has spotlighted over 1,700 young local and continental leaders in various sectors and has seen outstanding trailblazers strive with dedication and perseverance by overcoming challenges and economic instability.
The event has been successful in the United Kingdom, South Africa, Kenya, and Ghana and is currently, anticipating the global awards in United Arab Emirates in April 2025.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony held at the company's head office in Accra, Event Director, Richard Abbey Junior said, there were 199 entries but it was carefully scrutinized to settle on these 104 finalists.
According to him, the nominees will now go through the various stages of the competition before the final decision is made by the Awarding board.
He acknowledged the massive financial support from its new headline sponsor, PayAngel, and other sponsors like OmniBISC, Maaha Beach Resort, FeDems, Garnet Medica Center and Kaya.
"We are building a strong platform for them by giving a voice and opportunity to the next generation of industry pace-setters while building a positive attitude in the youth to strive for excellence at a young age", Mr Abbey noted.
